League of Legends’ Worlds 2023 beat all audience records!
The 2022 edition had reached a record 5+ million viewers. And it turns out that this year’s edition of the League of Legends’ Worlds went even further. The competition of Riot Games’ MOBA seems to keep increasing as years go by.

Indeed, this 2023 edition gathered more than 6 million viewers at once, with a record set at 6.402.760 spectators. The vertiginous number was reached during the finals opposing Weibo Gaming - China’s underdog - to three-times-winner T1. The latter went ahead and won the title in front of their Korean countrymen.
This audience record is especially impressive since it does not include the Chinese audience, although one of their teams had made it to the finals and that they have one of the world’s most important fanbase. Even without the Chinese figures, the League of Legends’ Worlds 2023 have become the most watched esport competition of all time.
We must underline the exceptional show put together by editor Riot Games, with an opening ceremony starring two concerts assisted with augmented reality. 10 years after it was released, League of Legends continues to prove that it is an unmovable pillar of esports.
